Backup-tab of Photos 2 not showing in advanced settings
Hi,
I have a Readynas 312 with latest firmware and Photos 2 v 2.0.5
I have read in the documentation that it is possible to activate a scheduled backup of Photos 2 images to a folder on the Readynas. For me: That is not possible because the backup-tab in Photos 2 advanced settings is not showing.
What I want is to do a scheduled backup of my images to a share and then sync the share with Amazon Drive.
Now since the backup-function is missing I have to use Readynas vault to backup "/data/.apps/photos2/user/" to the vault.
Have Netgear removed the backup-function for Photos 2 or is somthing else wrong?
I was not satified with the answer so I did the following:
1. I stopped using Photos 2. I tried Piwigo and it was much better.
2. I created a share and synced it with Amazon Drive. Every time a file is added to the share it syncs with amazon drive.
3. I created a cron job that uses rsync to sync the piwigo-imagefolder with the (image)share i just created. I have set the cronjob to rsync the folders every six ours. If Photos 2 users want to do the same they just rsync the photos folder instead.

Hi thunoldsen,
Welcome to the community!
This tab or feature is only available to Legacy ReadyNAS devices (4.x.x & 5.3.x) and not on OS 6. I suggest that you continue to use ReadyNAS Vault to backup your photos.
Kind regards,

Hi thunoldolsen,
I apologize again but this backup feature of the ReadyNAS Surveillance is unavailable on the newer ReadyNAS models. I'm glad that you're able to make your own workaround to backup your (Piwigo) photos using RSYNC. Thank you for also sharing this in the community.
Kind regards,
BrianL
