ReadyNAS® Remote and ReadyNAS Photos2 services will be discontinued on September 30th, 2017. ReadyNAS Replicate service will be discontinued on October 31st, 2020. After end-of-service dates for the respective services above, the following will apply: Customers will not be able to upload, download, share and edit photos through ReadyNAS Photos2 service Customers will not be able to remotely access the ReadyNAS using ReadyNAS Remote service, including web admin interface, and sharing Customers will not be able to create ReadyNAS Remote Accounts (used for ReadyNAS Remote and ReadyNAS Replicate) once the ReadyNAS Remote service is discontinued (existing accounts can continue to be used with ReadyNAS Replicate till that service is discontinued) Customers will not be able to use ReadyNAS Replicate to copy and restore data from one ReadyNAS to another, locally or through the Internet For comparable services to ReadyNAS Photos2 and Remote, a customer that is not already on a ReadyNAS OS 6 storage device may benefit by upgrading to a ReadyNAS that supports ReadyCLOUD. ReadyNAS Replicate users should upgrade to a Business Class ReadyNAS which supports ReadyDR. ReadyCLOUD is a cloud service that enables remote access, sharing of data, and streaming of media files. ReadyCLOUD runs on Internet browsers, and has a Windows app that supports folder backup and folder synchronization between the PC and the ReadyNAS. In addition, ReadyCLOUD has an iOS and Android app that allows viewing and sharing of files and uploading content from the photo album from anywhere. ReadyCLOUD is supported in ReadyNAS OS 6. https://readycloud.netgear.com ReadyNAS Replicate is a file level backup function. In October 2016, NETGEAR launched ReadyDR, a block-level backup function. ReadyDR is a significant enhancement over ReadyNAS Replicate. While ReadyNAS Replicate backs up only SMB shares, ReadyDR backs up SMB shares, iSCSI LUNs, and any type of data in a virtualized storage. Because backup is performed at the block level, it is incremental, continuous, and requires far less network bandwidth. ReadyDR is supported in ReadyNAS OS 6 on business class ReadyNAS models. [Foot note] We look forward to continuing to support your personal and business data storage needs. We hope that you will find the new software and services more efficient, friendly, and productive. I have not been able to send invites, The system said Invite sent but I never receive it, I have tried sending to many different email addreses and I have check in the junk mail folders. I have run diagnostic and it comes back all ok. This is gone on for a very long time and no solution. I have uninstall the Photo ii and reinstall it and still no invite sent. I think this is a Netgear problem. I see other post with the same problems but most of them are close due to inactivity. Need help6.8KViews0likes21CommentsAlternative/Follower to Photos II
Hi Folks! basedn on the annuncement: ReadyNAS Remote, Photos2, Replicate End of Service announcement the Photos II service will be shutted down. Are there any plan or a valid alternative to this software? I saw that in the app there is Piwigo (not last release), and Koken (not updated anymore). Do you have suggestion for a new gallery software, in order to share privatly galleries? Thanks.Unable to access Photos II from outside my network
Folks, I’m confounded in terms of getting Photos II to be accessible from the Internet. My installation is as follows: • ReadyNAS Ultra6 with latest software upgrades for Photos II and firmware • FIOS fiber optic network service with Westell router / cable modem When I test network connection from within the Photos II I get a failure to access Photos II error message as shown below. This seems to tell me that the router hasn’t set up a port forwarding rule. >> OK: All connection tests from ReadyNAS Photos II to UPnP Router and photos.readynas.com site are passed. >> OK: Hostname xxxxxxPhotos is available. >> Error: Fail to access Photos II (http://173.71.6.xxx:8086) from internet. (error=-2). If you disabled automatic configuration of UPnP router, please make sure port 8086 is forwarded to the NAS. >> OK: Successfully found your public IP (173.71.6.xxx). When I go to the Port Forwarding rules on the Westell Router, it appears that the router has correctly set up a single port forwarding rule for port 8086 with: >>Name of "ReadyNAS PhotosII" >>Ports of "TCPAny ->8086" The Port Forwarding rule also lists the proper IP address for the ReadyNAS. So it sure looks like everything is in order but I can never clear the diagnostic about failure to access Photos II on the ReadyNAS. I’ve rebooted the router and separately power cycled it. I’ve done the same on the ReadyNAS Ultra6, all to no avail. I can never clear the diagnostic related to accessing Photos II and if I try to access my picture folder from the internet (outside of my home network), I get a time out error or a 403 error. Can anyone offer suggestions on a fix here?Error when uploading multiple files to "Photos 2"

Please login again and report: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"] The first picture is ok and then the error pop up, and then its locked. Firmware is 6.7.4 App: 2.06 I have opdated JAVA on my PC, i've reset Readynas to factory settings, and nothing seems to do the trick! Hope someone has a solution!3.4KViews0likes4CommentsPhotos 2.0.6 Error when sending email
Been using ReadyNAS Photos for years on various ReadyNAS machines - most recently on our 214 model. Sometime in the past few months, started getting a few errors when uploading or sending email links to albums. ReadyNAS FW 6.6.1 ReadyNAS Photos 2.0.6 ERROR #1 The first error when uploading photos (which are exported from Lightroom into a standard JPG file) is: Internal Error! Please login again and report: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"] The only way to resolve this is to select all the photos in Windows Explorer, rotate 90 degrees clockwise, then rotate them 90 degrees counterclockwise so they're back to the original format. Then they can be uploaded. ERROR #2 This error is when sending the album email links: Method: sendEmail FaultString: SOAP Response cannot be decoded. Raw response: FaultCode: DecodingError FaultDetail: null I haven't figured out a way to fix this. Here's what I've tried: 1) Uninstall ReadyNAS Photos, reboot, reinstall 2.0.6, reboot 2) Create different Photographer login 3) Setup different port on router for photos forwarding 4) Tried to find pkas's old script which will give the exact links the the albums to send out via email but couldn't find it 5) Tried Chrome and Internet Explorer 6) Updated Flash to latest version What can I do to troubleshoot this?6.2KViews0likes9CommentsReadyNAS 312: Firmeware: 6.7.1 Photo II Error: Error while checking public ip. Please try it later
I have not been able to access my Photo II from outside the intranet of my home. I notice it when I tried to send an email invite to give access to the photos. This was working fine but just have not done it in a while. I run the Diagnose but I get the (Error: Error while checking public ip. Please try it later.) I have setup Port forwarding as suggested by others in the community and I have tried it without. no luck I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Photo II many times. I lost all my information the first time I did this. That Sucked. When I reinstall it sometimes it tells me that the system is working. but as soon as you try to send the invite and it says sent. When you go back to the Diagnose it will tell you the same error. Furstrating. The app said that it sends the invite but it really does not. I have FIOS gateway. I dont get it since I did not change anything. I do realize that they do have updates with both the Gateway and Photo II. Which mean they can make changes to configs as they please. I think this has to do with Photo II but can ot prove it. I think I have read that the Photo II is going away. If that the case I will use another service. But please let me know for sure.
