HeadPhones for RN314 OS 6
I just got a ReadyNAS 314 with OS 6.1.7 on it and i attempted to load Headphones from the following site:
https://rnxtras.com/addons/headphones-readynas-6-all
I used these plugins previously on my ReadyNAS NV+ v2 and they worked great and according to the site they should work on my new setup. Now it installs fine, I can turn the service ON but when i attempt to launch it, the page cannot be displayed.
Any help or ideas would be awesome.
Thanks,
JJ

- MoonSireAspirantI just installed HeadPhones from rnxtras myself on my RN314 and it is showing the same symptoms. I uploaded the .deb through the web interface and when the application was successfully installed I started it by clicking the "ON" button. When trying to access the HeadPhones web interface I only get "The connection was reset" in Firefox.
root@nas:/apps/headphones# /etc/init.d/headphones status
headphones.service - LSB: starts instance of Headphones
Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/headphones)
Active: inactive (dead)
CGroup: name=systemd:/system/headphones.service
I restarted both the apache2.service and the headphones.service, but there was no difference.
Checking the/apps/headphones/config/logs/headphones.log
shows this:03-Sep-2014 12:37:43 - INFO :: MainThread : Checking to see if the database has all tables....

but the launch button takes you to <server>:8282. I also have transmission running on port 8181 so I suspect this is a configuration issue with HeadPhones. I will try to find where the port can be changed...
I suspect that @WhoCares needs to update the package on rnxtras.com with a changed port. - MoonSireAspirantSuccess!
I copied the file/apps/headphones/headphones/config.ini.tpl
to/apps/headphones/config/config.ini
and restarted the service withservice headphones restart
and it worked!
Log in with username: "admin" and password: "password" (which you can change in the newly copied config.ini. - zarz83AspirantHello there,
I have found that when you first install headphone it attempts to connect to port 8282 eg: http://yournasip:8282
The problem is that it is actually on port 8181. This will conflict with other apps that use port 8181 eg Transmission.
Best practice I found is to turn off transmission, load turn headphones on and go to http://yournasip:8181. Headphones will load. After this go into settings and change the port from 8181 to 8282 so that when you press the launch button in Readynas it will open the right port.
Hope this helps. :)
