The easiest path to get TrueCrypt up and running imo would be to rebuild the needed packages from source - which I believe is what those who have it running did. Shouldn't be too hard to do but it is a time consuming process after which most people don't ever want to look back and write about it I guess ;) And no, I don't have TrueCrypt or EncFS installed/running, so I really can't help here except for giving general tips as to how it could work.
