OS 6.1.7 broken some addons
Installed OS 6.1.7 on my RN102 this afternoon. Since installing this update Sab 07.1.13 will no longer start up (Sab originally installed from the App section of Frontview) . Click the on button results in it saying it will start the service, but the page then refreshes and the service is not running (exactly the same for the DDclient also, other services such a transmission are running fine). Tried to uninstall Sab, but this just results in the egg timer saying it is uninstalling but never completes. Unable to reinstall as I guess the Readynas sees the app as still installed, so is not available on the App page.
I have found the log file in Sab directory which is replicated below, can anyone understand what is going on?

- xeltrosApprenticeLinux uses files with .pid extension stored in var run to track the process number of the application. Looks like the file is not available, on linux this means 9 times out of ten that you have a right problem.
do you have SSH already enabled ?
if so try to go to /var/run (cd /var/run) and list .pid files (ls -la *.pid) here is the rights for my only add-on installed :
-rw-r--r-- 1 admin admin 5 Apr 12 03:38 btsync.pid
do you have something similar for sabnzbd.pid ?
If you don't have a file for sabnzbd at all :
ls -la /var/run returns this on my NAS :
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 Apr 11 20:02 /var/run -> ../run
What do you have ? - getyogrooveonAspirantHi Xeltros, thanks for the response
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:31 apache2.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4 Apr 12 18:30 brokerd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 crond.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:31 minissdpd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 nmbd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 raidard.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 statd guest 5 Apr 12 18:30 rpc.statd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 smbd.pid
-rw------- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 sm-notify.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:30 sshd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:35 transmission-daemon.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5 Apr 12 18:31 upnphttpd.pid
Seems there is no PID file for Sabnzbd anymore (or for DDClient also)?
Checking in the location from the Sab log file (/var/run/sabnzbd/) the folder there is also empty. I assume that the OS upgrade has removed this critical file?
Running your second command:lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 Apr 12 14:01 /var/run -> ../run
Which appears to be the same as yours?
Again, thanks for your help, any suggestions greatly appreciated. Seems like this upgrade is casuing other issues with addons also? http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=76009
