ReadyNAS Duo v2 - Hardware pins do what?
Hello Everybody,
I had a failure on a Disk of my REadyNas Duo and i replaced it, I decided to replace also the second one and now it's ok.
My question is: When also the hardware will fail, how will i solve this problem since this hardware will be no more on the market?
The data on the disks can be read with a different operative system and transfered on a new Nas device?

Although RAID protected your data in your recent failure, RAID is not enough to keep your data safe. Three are many scenarios where RAID can fail or is simply irrelevant (theft for instance). If your goal it to preserve the data, you need to back it up to another device. Many people use USB disks; another option in your case is to get a new NAS and use the old duo for backup.
To answer your specific question, your NAS uses the ext file system. R-Linux for Windows is a free utility that can read your data - https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/. There are also some software packages that add read/write support for ext and btrfs - https://www.paragon-software.com/us/home/linuxfs-windows/
