ReadyNAS Duo v2 - Hardware pins do what?
Hi, I hope that somebody can help me.
Basically, I am looking for information as to which pin does what on the connector from the board that power button mounted on it, connecting to the mainboard.
Would really appreciate help with this please. TIA

Can you provide us an image/photo of the pins you need info so we can provide a specific answer?
Basically the Duo V2 has three PCB boards
Main board - Where the Front LEDs and Power button are mounted, there are no additional pins here.
I/O board - This is for the Ports and connectors on the back of the NAS.
Backplane - Which is for the hard drive connnection

Also, make sure you have a duo v2.
A duo v1
- runs 4.1.x firmware
- has a -100XXX at the end of the part number (XXX might be NAS or a country code)
- might say duo v2 on the rear label (leading to much confusion).
A duo v2
- runs 5.3.x firmware
- has a -200XXX at the end of the part number
- says duo v2 on the front (at the bottom)

Is there any documentation that covers what each of the pins are used for, shown in the red box in the picture I posted.

Netgear has released no schematics or repair manuals for any NAS. I don't have a Duo V1, but that appears to be a double-sided board that you could follow the traces on. At the very worst, you could buzz them out. From what I can see in the picture, the connector on the left is for the LEDs and buttons and the one on the right is the USB. What is your end goal here?

Basically, I have installed and setup an SBC within the ReadyNAS enclosure/case which is all fine. Then what I wanted to do is connect the front power button and LEDs to the GPIO pins on the SBC. Which is why I wanted to know which pin relates to what.
When I am home next I will try connecting to pins and will work it out, I was trying to plan ahead asking for documentation.
