ReadyNAS Surevlliance license problem?

Hi, Trying to get ReadyNAS Survelliance to work but its not that easy as I was hoping for.

Before buying licenses for more cameras I want to have it working.

My problems

1. If I click on 'Management - License Management' the License list just show 'There are no licenses yet' the icon is just rolling.
The ReadyNAS has verified internet connection and nothing is blocked in firewall.

2. I can only add one camera, even though I just added the ReadyNAS Surveillance app (Not 30 days gone yet)

3. With the only camera added it shows correctly on 'IP Camera - Camera Settings' and its possible to show live view.
I have no clue on how to make the 'Motion Detection' working.

Instant recording is working.
It states that the 'Motion Detection' must be enabled on the camera and I have configured 'Motion Detection' on the camera and all area is marked for detection.
How do I setup up Motion Detection on ReadyNAS survelliance?
Should this be done completely on the Camera with FTP upload to NAS or will the ReadyNAS Survelliance handle recording if 'Motion Detection' is triggered and if camera is enabled for Motion Detection?

4. I also cant see 'Record Settings - Recording schedule' as shown in manual (Surveillance_UM_31March14.pdf)
I have no 'Recording mode - Record by schedule' listed
I'm looking at 'Recording & Event - Record Settings' on my ReadyNAS Survelliance

Equipment:

NETGEAR ReadyNAS Survelliance - Firmware Version: 1.1.1
Latest firmware on ReadyNAS 102
IP Camera: 2 x DCS-932LB1 (Latest firmware)

  • Hello Gear,

You are currently using a ReadyNAS 102 which is a ReadyNAS 100 series product that falls under the category of Home products. ReadyNAS 100 series and ReadyNAS 2120 support ReadyNAS Surveillance Home. Please page see 3 of ReadyNAS Surveillance data sheet

Please see differences of full ReadyNAS Surveillance features and ReadyNAS Surveillance Home application features at page 7 of the user manual

This explains why you do not see the Recording Schedule tab; Motion detection-based recording is also not included to the features of ReadyNAS Surveillance Home.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

    Regards,

  • Just to add some more information.

Looking at the 'Playback' I can see the "Red" 'Record Always' since I tried that and it worked.

I dont see any "blue" 'Record on Event but if I mark the Event Type 'Motion From Camera' i will see entries in the time line so it seemes like the Camera and ReadyNAS Survelliance are communicating with the 'Motion Detection'.

    ...But still no data recorded

    Hi Gear,

The license key table is normally blank for one camera as your (1) free ReadyNAS surveillance activation. To setup motion detection, kindly got to "Recording & Event", then "Recording Settings", then "Recording Schedule". In here select the camera you want to record from when it detects motion. Select "Configure" then "Mode" and choose "Record on Event". The "Motion" choice will become available - then select it afterwards.

    Kind regards,

      Hi,

      Thanks for your reply...

Ok, I cannot see that Tab, I only see the "Recording Mode" and no Option to record on Schedule

I have tried with both Internet Explorer and Mozilla with same result.

What can be the reason for this missing TAB?

      ReadyNAS has firmware 6.2.4

      Survelliance has Installed version 1.1.1-3
