What is the output of this command?
rsnapshot configtest
What happens when you run rsnapshot in test mode with this command?
rsnapshot -t hourly
By the way, I would change three things in your configuration:
- Change "interval hourly 2" to "interval hourly 6". Rsnapshot runs the "hourly" script once every four hours to create a snapshot; you are telling it to retain only the last two of those. It would be safer to retain an entire day's worth of snapshots, and it would cost very little storage space.
- Uncomment the "rsync_short_args" line.
- Uncomment the "du_args" line.
Remember to use only tabs -- never spaces -- between elements on each line of your config file.

# rsync must be enabled for anything to work. This is the only command that
# must be enabled.
cmd_rsync /usr/bin/rsync
I don't know whether it matters... But it couldn't hurt. It's enabled from within Frontview on my NAS.
