Settings seem to be being lost.
I have successfully updated the FW to 4.1.16, after a OS reinstall.(Wanting to bring my server right up to date)
Network Settings
IPv4
IP 192.168.1.58 static.
Subnet 255.255.255.0
100Mb Full Duplex
MTU 1500
Global
Def Gateway 192.168.1.1
Domain name server 8.8.8.8 (Worked better than 192.168.1.1)
No other boxes used
There are 3 shares, visible from windows explorer along with all sub directories and files. All good.
Word excel open the docs AOK
Works fine for moving files around,
however
1.....when I attempt to connect iTines to its relevant share, the share is not visible.
2 when attempting to play mp4 files, (Windows Movie Player) they fail 0xc00d36c4 This file isn't playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt, sometimes I get error message cant find the file or file is missing. Also on Real Player Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. However the same file plays perfectly from the C: of the PC I am using in both programmes.
3 Then after I have tried most of the above, even Windows explorer is not able to access the shars, even though they are seen

When you are playing media, are you using DLNA?
Also, can can you go into "turn windows features on or off" and make sure the SMB v1 client is enabled on the PC?
