setup mySQL on readynas 102

I have been searching the net. I have been trying to access MySQL on my ReadyNAS. When I install MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin. I am unable to log in using phpMyAdmin. I know the default user name is root and the password is blank, but it gives me a #1045 error on phpMyAdmin. I have searched the forums and found a few links that would help however they are no longer working or reject my connection. I have even tried to use MySQL workbench and it would not connect to MySQL server. If anyone can give me some pointers or point me to a website that can help. It would be very much appreciated. Also, my ReadyNAS is up to date on the firmware.

  • Hi ljenkins73

    You will need some software to do this.  1. FileZilla Client     2. Notepad++

    1 install software

    2 login to nas and go to System / Setting -- now enable SSH

    3 open FileZilla Client at the top your Nas ip user password 22

    3 in the remote site window click ( / )( you will now see your root dir )

    4 follow this /apps/phpmyadminr6/web

    5. look for file config.ini.php download the file and edit in Notepad++  ( please back up before editing )

    6. You need to look for Line 43 to 46 it wiil look like this.

    /* User used to manipulate with storage */
    // $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlhost'] = '';
    // $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = 'pma';
    // $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = 'Put Your Password Here Ok';

    Save and upload to the same dir

    Hope this helps you let me if it worked.
