Slow Performance/High Utilization After Upgrade
Hello,
I recently upgraded a ReadyNAS Pro 6 (RND6350) to Radiator 4.2.19. Everything seemed fine, but then a day later performance of the device got really poor. I checked the device and I found ReadyNASVault process killing the box. Load average was 3.7-4 and IO wait was 95%. Once I killed ReadyNASVault, performance returned to normal. I upgraded to ReadNASVault 2.1.5.2 and rebooted. Then a day later, the same thing happened again, super high utiliziation and the box was unresponsive.
Has anyone seen this? I called support and they want me to re-load the firmware on the box. I'm unfortunately remote from the device, so I cannot do that. Before I schedule time to get there to do it, I wanted to know if anyone else has seen this?
As a side note, how much of my configuration will I lose when I reload the firmware?
Thanks.
Matt

- efishmanAspirantHi Krowten,
When you get a chance please contact Vault technical support at support@vault.readynas.com with your account info and we will look into this right away. I do apologize for this issue but this is the first that we have heard of this.
-ReadyNAS Vault Support - KrowtenAspirantI did open a ticket with Netgear (we have the extended support on this unit). They wanted me to reload the firmware, so I had to wait until the weekend to do that since it is a production system. I reloaded and initially, I saw the real high utilization. I enabled SSH so I could run top and readyNASvault is constantly at the top, but it doesn't seem to be killing the box as much. I am monitoring it and I was going to call back in if it happened again, but I will send an email directly to the vault support. That is one problem that I couldn't find how to get direct support for the ready vault service. Thanks for the address!
