TFTP Server For ReadyNAS
Re-posting the question, as I never received a notificatiuon that someone replied (orginal post September 2015), and the thread is closed.
I've added the offered TFTP Server for ReadyNAS App to my 4220, and have copied over my current batch of backup config files into the tftpboot folder (via the auto-created SMB share). The only problem is, TFTP access from appliances or clients is not working. Tftp sends from a switch or router to the NAS Apps' TFTP service are failing. Example is below.
My experience with tftp servers has been using TFTPD32 (or 64) by Ph. Jounin, and anywhere else it just works after assigning the IP and the folder it's supposed to work out of. Teh Google, she is failing me; the More Info link on the App is a redirect to a useless ReadyNAS home page (has still not been updated since the post I made a year ago) and there is no additional App setup information available here.
To answer the additional questions that were posted:
ReadyNAS firmware 6.5
Yes, I uninstalled and re-installed the App
From my switch, the command/erro is:
switch230# copy running-config tftp 192.168.100.40 192.168.43.230-config
TFTP download in progress.
00000K Transport error.
switch230#
There were no app installation errors.

I installed the tftp app on a NAS and without any other configuration, I can tftp to/from it without issue. I tried it from a PC running tftpd32 and also from a managed switch.
Can you ping the NAS OK from the tftp client?
If you run netstat -an on the NAS, does it appear to be listening for tftp traffic on port 69 (see example below)?
root@RN526X:~# netstat -anProto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
<snip>udp 0 0 172.22.0.53:69 0.0.0.0:*
- TheBajaGuyNJAspirantI just tried it again from a site switch (send the running config to the NAS) and now it's working. I'm at a loss what changed. Notes: v6.5 firmware (it's bugging me to update it sometime to 6.6). HP 2920-series switch [IP masked] hhhwfrigcorner# copy running-config tftp 192.168.xxx.yy hhhwfrigcorner.xxx.yy.cfg TFTP download in progress. Thanks for your response.
