Update email ReadyNAS

I'm unable to update the email associated with ReadyCloud to the email associated with my NetGear account.  The email account used for the ReadyCloud is no longer valid as I've moved.  When going through the procedures contained in https://kb.netgear.com/30599/How-do-I-upgrade-my-ReadyCLOUD-account-if-I-have-a-MyNETGEAR-com-account I get back a message saying the device is already registered.  Please provide me assistance as the procedures are not working, at least not for me.  Thanks in advance,
