Vault Backups Failing

 

I just noticed that my ReadyNAS Vault backups have been failing for months.  The vault log is filled with error messages like this:

 

2015-08-02 14:28:11 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:14 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:17 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:20 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:24 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:27 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124
2015-08-02 14:28:30 | WARNING | createHost(): received a SOAP response: Failure/GenericInit server 54.165.19.124

 

It just repeats endlessly.  I upgrade to the latest ReadyNAS Vault client and rebooted, but same behavior.

 

I sent an email to support, but has anyone seen this?  Any idea what might be the cause?

  • Hi Matt - That log seems like it might be related to your NAS name being changed. To be sure, we will need to look at your account in more detail.
