R7000 v1.0.9.10 ReadyShare Vault Backup Engine Failure

I have been running this router successfully for 1 1/2 years. I recently upgraded the R7000 firmware to V1.0.9.10_1.2.21.  I also upgraded the ReadyShare Vault application to v2.0.10.100 on both laptops running Windows 10 (64 bit) with the latest updates.  Neither laptop successfully backs up anymore!  I receive the error message "Backup engine failure".  HELP!!!

  • Hi JFarrance and bigleegeek,

Please try updating the firmware of the router to the latest version (1.0.9.12) and do a factory reset. Please keep us posted if the issue persists.

  • Also receiving the message "Backup Failure".  In the process of upgrading the firmware to the same version as stated but waiting over half an hour for Netgear to uploading to my router.  Have shutdown the router by turning off for a few minutes and then waiting for it to reboot and start the uploading process to finish.  So far there has been no indication that the upload will ever complete but at least I have internet access but also need to perform backups.
