Yes, it's a great new product. The 10Gbit ports are backwards compatible with 1Gbit ports so if you need to do the NAS first then a 10Gbit network later you can.
I like the industrial design of the new desktop units, and the processor uplifts. 10gb network makes sense, since the 500 series is almost always network limited.
If only there were inexpensive 10gb switches out there.
