I have two ReadyNas (Ultra 4 and Ultra Pro 4). My drives are currently full so i was planning to wait in december until WD releases the 5TB red. I was just wondering if the 5tb drives will work out...

4 or 6 (in power of 10 units). 4tb is the worst scenario, which is about ~3.63 TiB. The ceiling then becomes 11.63 TiB, which is 12.88 TB (power of 10). If you started with 6 tb, I think you end up at ~14.8 tb.
4x5TB gives you a 15 TB volume size, so either way I think you'd need a reset.
