Admin ID/Password not working after recent firmware upgrade
I have been using my ReadyNAS device for many years with no problems.
A recent firmware upgrade has seemed to blow away my RAIDar admin id/password that has always worked fine until this upgrade.
Furthermore, id/password recovery does not work either.
Can anybody please advise the steps that I could take to once again access admin rights via RAIDar.

Hi SimonCurry
Have you tried using a different browser or clearing cache before proceeding logging in on the Admin page or with the Password Recovery? If you have done this but still not getting access to your Admin page then an OS Reinstall can be done to reset the NAS Admin credentials to default.
Default credentials for NV+ V2 should be admin/password
To perform OS-Reinstall you can check this link.
Hope this helps!

What firmware were you installing? What was the NAS running before?
In addition to Marc_V's suggestions, you could check the status using RAIDar: https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar

Marc,
Not too sure as I cannot access admin panel any more. As I keep upgrades up to date i presume it is the latest version of firmware as prompted by admin panel.

Did you try to confirm with RAIDar?

I am experiencing same situation here.
I could no longer login so when I checked on the device screen, it showed firmware version 6.10.0 so I guess this is caused by 6.10.0 automatic update.

6.10.0 has a new feature that locks out admin login for 5 minutes after receiving too many bad tries. Do you have a computer, smart TV, or other device on your network that might be constantly trying to re-connect using an old password?
