Any way to enable and disable ReadyNAS USB port on a schedule?
I just bought my first ReadyNAS, which is a second-hand 204 with four 8TB hard drives. I have connected a 5TB portable USB drive to the rear USB 3.0 port, which I use to mirror several critical folders on the NAS once a day.
I was wondering if there was any way to schedule the USB port to be enabled only between certain hours when the mirror synchronization runs, and to be disabled for the rest of the day, so that it is not constantly powered on and accessible over the network.
I do not find any such feature described in the manuals or KB or forums or anywhere online. Perhaps I am the only person who wants such a feature, but I think it would be an awesome addition, and could be a useful security feature as well.
Does anyone know of any way to do this?

I did find this link to an article about USB hubs, and it indicates that a USB port would require software controlled power switching capabilities in order to do what I want, and I am guessing that the RN 204 does not have this feature. However, I could possibly add a USB hub which does.

I've never seen it described, so I am thinking you are correct.
