Anybody using a 2TB+ USB Hard Drive for external backup?

I am using a Buffalo Drivestation / 2TB / USB2 External Hard Disk Drive (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/19511004/-/Product.html) to backup my Duo, just plugged it into the front port and kicked off the backup.
Was going really well (did about 350GB) until I encountered a bad block or two on my internal disks and the Duo performed a SATA reset on them. Completed the backup once that was sorted.
