Can I use 8TB HDD
Question, I have several ReadyNASRNDX400E, and would like to use 8TB HDD (or larger), in particular, Seagate Archive HDD 8TB SATA 6GBps 128MB Cache SATA Hard Drive (ST8000AS0002) ...
it is not too difficult to updgrade your cpu, ram to enable OS6 effectively that would allow you to run the 8tb drives. nice weekend project. on the archive drives, it does depend on what you want to use the NAS primarily for. if just archival storage....or lots of read/writes media box etc. good luck. best. george
I don't think you can replace the CPU in the NVX. Well even if you could I wouldn't see the point.
