Cannot access local admin page after first startup
Hello,
I am not able to access my newly bought RN202, SN 45Y2535W003FC. I just connected the power cable and turned it on, however the power light doesn't stop flashing even after hours. The NAS connects to my lan with ip 192.168.178.32 and is also found by RAIDar under this address. However the local admin page under https://192.168.178.32/admin and also under https://192.168.178.32 (same with http://) is not accessible. The connection isn't accepted (cannot connect-page in browser). Also a access over ReadyCLOUD isn't possible, because the NAS can't be discovered. Currently there are no HDDs in the NAS. I also tried inserting a already formatted HDD in combination with a factory reset, but this also doens't work with the same result. This is already a replacement device by my retailer the first device showing the same behaviour, so I exclude a technical defect. What am I doing wrong?! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Patrick Schmidt
Ok I figured out the solution by myself. Without a HDD inserted the NAS won't boot up correctly. As mentioned I already tried to insert a HDD and to make a factory reset afterwards. Now I saw that I didn't insert the HDD correctly. If the lock on the rack (the thing in which you put the HDD) is open then you can't insert it back in the case completely and the power und data connector don't connect. Maybe a little bit more detailed manual on this (for dummies like me) would be helpful. Argh...

Correction: If the lock on the rack (the thing in which you put the HDD) is already closed then you can't insert it back in the case completely

There are plenty of details in the manual here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/RN_OS_6_Desktop_HW_UM_26March2015.pdf
Pages 96-103 show step by step disk insertion for both 2.5 and 3.5 inch disks, with plenty of pictures.

Ok, thanks for the hint, this should be sufficient
