cannot connect to readynas admin page from chrome

I can discover my readynas server from readycloud. when I click on manage it opens a new tab with an error message.

"ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

What does that mean and how to I fix it? I am using chrome and have the latest firmware for readynas 6.9.1

thanks,

    Hi mikechan006

    Welcome to the Community!

Have you tried using a different browser like Firefox or IE? Also, can you please check your NAS Network settings if it has DNS server like 8.8.8.8 and/or your router address?

Do you have any security software or firewall that might be preventing the connection to be established on the NAS?

    Regards

First check that you can access the web admin UI directly (not from ReadyCloud).  https://nas-ip-address/admin (using the real IP address of course).  You'll need to do that anyway in order to see the NAS network settings.

  • thank you all!

I did a factory reset on my readnas10104 and was able to connect to my admin page now. I did not have anything stored in my drives that was important so I went this route first. I did dsiable firewall at the time but did no solve the isseue. I will keep mind, for future reference, use google server.

    Thanks again guys!
