Compatible upgrade
Hi
My ReadyNAS Ultra 2 chassi has stoped working. It will not even start.
Is there an newer version that will accept the two RAID-1 disks as is?
Or will I have to try some other method of recovering the data.
Kind regards

A new x86 ReadyNAS (RN300 or better) will mount your disks temporarily so you can off-load the data. After that, you'd need to do a factory reset to complete the setup.
You can also try R-linux for Windows ( https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/ ). I'm not sure if that will work with 4.2 ReadyNAS, but it is free to try - assuming you can connect one of the Ultra disks to the PC.
Another possibility is that the power adapter has failed (not the chassis). So you could do a risk-buy of a replacement adapter.
