Corrupt Root Duo (v. 1) w/2 Barracuda 7200 SATA Drives

I have had a DUO installed with 2 Barracuda 7200 1TB drives as my primary data storage. It has operated perfectly for a couple of years but recently my UPS failed a number of times. I replaced the UPS and then I noted that my DUO made a lot of fan noise. I rebooted it and the noise went away but I was unable to access many of the stored files. RAIDar shows "corrupt root" in the info column. The IP address for my DUO is 192.168.1.135 but I am unable to reach that address in a browser. RAIDar shows green lights for Vol. 1, 2 and fan. The blue light on the power button on the DUO flashes on and off rhythmically. The four LEDs on the front of the DUO are all green and are flashing three short flashes followed by three longer flashes. I had a WD My Book attached to the DUO to run backups but I cannot access that device.

Any assistance in resolving the issue(s) with my DUO would be very much appreciated.

Contact support and post your case number. If over 90 days since purchase make an Online Submission to NetGear tech support.
  • Thanks, mdgm. My DUO is out of warranty. I posted to the NetGear site and will post if I get a resolution.
