Dead NAS

Which model do you have? Depending on which model you have and when you purchased it it may still be under warranty.
So when you attempt to power it on you see no lights, you don't hear the fan going, nothing?
Sounds like a dead PSU.
If you purchase a 104 you would need help from support to recover your data and you would need somewhere to copy the data off to.
If your current model is a NVX/Ultra/Ultra Plus/Pro you would be better off going with a 314. Again you would need to copy the data off somewhere but it would be much easier with this model.
After copying the data off you would need to do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) then restore data from backup.
You would need to be careful either way to follow the procedure support gives to you.
