Destination cannot be accessed

My NAS now routinely requires me to run repairs on my backup USB drives,
disconnecting and running it on my PC to repair

Error backup job job_003 Backup: Destination cannot be accessed

By the way, I have 4TB, 8TB, 8TB, and 8TB Ironwolve Drives

    1. Are you ejecting them from the shares page settings wheel before you remove them?
    2. Are the drives independently powered, or are you powering them from the USB port?

      Thank you for your reply.

      1)  I only eject the USB Drives after I get the error. It never makes it thru the first backup
process even after I run it thru the disc repair cycle.

      2) I have both external backup USB drives independently powered.

Is there a solution and/or can you recommend the next step up for a NAS without
      these issues?

Can you copy files to the drives on a PC after you do the "repair"?

Have you tried testing the drives in a PC using Seatools?
