My NAS now routinely requires me to run repairs on my backup USB drives,
disconnecting and running it on my PC to repair
Error backup job job_003 Backup: Destination cannot be accessed

- Are the drives independently powered, or are you powering them from the USB port?

Thank you for your reply.
1) I only eject the USB Drives after I get the error. It never makes it thru the first backup
process even after I run it thru the disc repair cycle.2) I have both external backup USB drives independently powered.
Is there a solution and/or can you recommend the next step up for a NAS without
these issues?

Can you copy files to the drives on a PC after you do the "repair"?
Have you tried testing the drives in a PC using Seatools?
