disable backup when destination no longer exists. RN102
I have several backup jobs that are enabled that backup to an external HDD. This HDD is stored off-site and is not quickly accessible. I am unable to edit the jobs so that I can disable them.
How can I disable these jobs so that they do not continue to fail when scheduled to run?

I'I just tested it and reproduced the same behavior. There is nothing "wrong with the NAS".
In my opinion, this is a bug, or an annoying limitation.
1. Inserted a USB stick in the NAS.
2. Created a backup job that points to the USB stick (USB share), with scheduled enabled.
3. Ejected the USB stick from the NAS.
4. Tried to disable the schedule. I get the error "be sure to correct errors".
5. Under Destination, "Type" is in red and value is "No longer exists".
I'm running 6.7.1-T252
Workarounds I can think of: delete the job or change the destination to a USB port instead of a USB share.

Hi t_Cat
you can click backup job "settings" button , to disable schedule , please see below

I can disable it there but when I go to 'apply' the settings it displays an error window with a message "Be sure to correct errors".
There is no problem enabling/disabling jobs when the hard drive is attached, only when not connected.
Firmware version is currently 6.6.1 but this has occurred for a very long time now so would not be related to this version.

I should add that any changes to a job (not just the 'enable schedule') cannot be saved.
- jak0lantashMentorPossibly. I was mainly thinking of modifying the job temporarily to something that would allow saving, without necessarily keeping the job working. Next time the USB drive is connected, it'd be easy to quickly edit the job again.

I'd use the 127.0.0.1 trick with either the source or the destination anyway, since it's the only way to use rsync.

Backup jobs can't be modified to point to a USB port while the original external share drive is not attached. They can however be deleted while the drive is not attached. So if I want to keep the jobs, which I do, I have to put up with the failures until I can retreive the original hard drive.
Presently I schedule several jobs to run (weekly) in the early morning and have the last job auto eject so that I can just disconnect and store the drive. It would be nice to just be able to change the schedule when I am next on the computer.
