If so, the wd20earx is on the HCL, and can be used with your existing wd20ears. A WD20EFRX would also work, and has a longer warranty and no issues with load counts / wdidle3 tweaking.
On backup, you could potentially attach the disk to a desktop PC (powering the NAS down first!).
Though you should also consider network backup.
