Disc crashed; what to do?
Hi all, One of my disc crashed (a WD 2.0TB / 64mb wd20ears). The disc are in a X-RAID2 config in a RND2000 First, i need to make a backup from the latest files that aren't offsite. So, can i att...
(a) its safe to replace the dead drive, I suggest doing a hot-add (insert the drive with the NAS running)
(b) You should be able access all your data with just the one drive. That is the point of RAID after all.
It is important to be certain about whether you have a v1 or a v2.
