Do people still need tray screws?

I found a source for some drive tray screws with the correct head (diameter and countersink pitch) and just slightly longer. They work just fine with the old (round button) and new (square button) trays for the NV, NVX, Duo, Ultra, Pro, etc. and all the drive types I tried (Seagate, WD, HGST). Since I had to buy more than I needed, I figured I could offer them up to others for cheap. But, frankly, the envelope and postage will likely cost as much as if not more than the screws.

I was figuring on packaging them in lots of 25 (enough for a 6-bay NAS) and charging about $5 including USA shipping.

Before I go out and buy some padded envelopes and verify the postage, I was wondering if anyone would be interested.

I'm afraid it's just not worth the customs hassle for international shipping.

  • I found screws that fit my Netgear Ultra 6 on Amazon. They have screws for 3.5" and 2.5" drive trays. Just search Amazon for supermicro screws. They were about $5.
I don't know if this is you or not but the screws arrived in a couple of days and work fine.
