Document Management - is ReadyNAS suited?
My client is loosing their cloud based document management system in 3 WEEKS!!!
I am urgently looking at alternatives, and wonder if a ReadyNAS option would be able to provide suitable alternative.
Basic requirement that comes quickly to mind:

- Accessible via web - customer is geographically distributed
- Version control for documents
- Document check locking for in/out for editing
- Windows + Mac access

Sort of, but not exactly with the built-in capabilities.
Readynas remote can handle remote access, but I wouldn't exactly call it robust.
Version control and check in/out? Not really builtin.
Maybe the Egnyte/Readynas solution can address your needs. Not 100% sure.arjoseph wrote:

Yes, Egnyte + ReadyNAS can definitely do all of that.
The Egnyte add-on works with the ReadyNAS device to enable file access, storage and sharing from anywhere.
