Drive compatability list is empty for ReadyNAS 104
I am considering purchasing a ReadyNAS 104, but the information on this site says there is no support if you don't pick a drive from the list. When I go to the list, it's blank. I was planning to use ...

I'm not sure if you are having the language problem here or at the HCL site - I have been assuming here. If so, the screen I was directing you to looks like this (in English):

Is the compatable drive list on a popup?
The HCL link ( http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641/~/readynas-hard-disk-compatibility-list ) doesn't create any popups. There is a pulldown to select the NAS model (and a second pulldown if you select "legacy").
Then a couple of optional pulldowns to let you filter the list.

I can see that disk on the list for that model. Second on the list when filtering to just show SeaGate brand and 4TB capacity.

Hello BionicManster,
Welcome to the community!
It is populating Like mdgm, I was able to see that model in the list.
Here is the part of the list of Seagate disks that are compatible with RN104 where your disk shows:

- BionicMansterJan 09, 2016AspirantThanks to everyone above. I'm going to buy the 104 and 4 of the Seagate 4TBs to go in it. Another unrelated problem ... Somehow my profile is set to German. I can't read German well enough to figure out how to reset it. Can the moderator change this for me?

Try clicking on your icon on the top right. Settings are the second choice down (profile is the top choice, but you can't change anything from there).
Then select the second tab from the left. In English it is "Preferences". Language is the second entry down (and is a pull-down).
Get back to me (either a PM or just reply here). If the navigation hints above don't help, I will escalate up to someone who does have full administrative rights.

I can't make what you are saying match up with the screen. The only tabs I see are Downloads, MyNETGEAR, Community, ... at the top of the screen. Once in the Community page, I can click on my name, but it just shows my profile, and nothing is changeable.
I am a Linux user, and therefore using Firefox, but I don't see how that could be making this much difference.
If you don't mind, please forward this to someone with the appropriate rights. I plan to register my NAS as soon as it arrives, but there's no point when I can't read the website. (I can't even find PM.)
I temporarily disabled my popup blocker, and I got a window that said my preferred language wasn’t' available and that I would be on the English site (although all the commands are still in German.) I assume some scripted function is what set my language to German. Could you pass the polite note to the webmaster that maybe they should test this site on browsers with high security? I'm not buying a 12 TB server just to allow some dirtbag to encrypt my files and extort a ransom from me. I expect Netgear resents not being able to collect data on me, but until someone does something about ransomware, my shields are staying up.
Thanks
