Drive replacement question for NVX
Hi there, My NVX is logging the disk drive in position 1 with far to many smart errors for my liking so I intend to replace the drive, a 3.5" 1TB Seagate ST31000340NS, with a 3.5" 3TB Western Digit...
So you have 4x1TB disks installed?
What version of RAIDiator are you running? You need to make sure that you are running RAIDiator 4.2.16 or later before adding a 3TB disk.
Note also that two 3TB disks will need to be installed before expansion can take place as X-RAID2 provides redundancy. If any one disk fails, data remains intact.
After the resync completes from adding the first 3TB disk you could then add a second one.
