About a year ago I bought a 1TB Seagate Barracuda ST31000528AS for My readynas Duo (v1)to supplement the 500GB seagate drive that came with it. This drive was on the hardware Compatibility list. ...
You can see it with Frontview. Select status->health, then click on the "SMART+" for the drive. You will get a pop-up that includes a lot of drive stats, including the firmware.
