Enable URL codes
Hi,
even if I understand that a company has certain fears for possible legal consequences if people post links, I highly recommend to enable the URL bbcode by default. Otherwise it's impossible to link for example to the FAQs or other vendor material or external discussions...

- The policy here is more about spam management than legal consequences. You can of course post the links, though people need to cut/paste them. After you've made some more posts, you'll find that bbcodes will be enabled.
In the meantime I added url tags to your other post for you. My German's not up to a complete answer (and google translate doesn't handle your post very well). Though part of the answer is that the FAQ you linked to is dated, and doesn't include the new OS6 system. - chirpaLuminaryURLs in your posts won't auto-bbcode until you have reached 10 posts. This is for spam reasons.
- user43AspirantI understand the idea, but IMHO it's very unusual behaviour at a forum. Usually the boards use captchas, nofollow links. user flagging, ... to prevent spam.
- It may be unusual, but it works pretty well.
- chirpaLuminaryIt has worked. And no one besides Skywalker is keeping the forum software updated. He is busy enough with his development work, doesn't have time to keep up on every mod for the forums.
