Enterprise server open-source NAS
We want to upgrade all our data to a new NAS from our old server/open source system. If we went with a Netgear product would we be able to simply remove and reinstall the 2 x ATA/IDE HDD? As part of ...
NTGR ReadyNAS is built on open-source as well (Debian Linux, Apache, Samba, ProFTPd, etc). ReadyNAS use their own format on the disks, so previously used disks would have to be wiped, no importing of data. They also require SATA, not PATA/IDE disks.
