General Feedback on 6.2.3/6.2.4

Also having problems with an RN104 post 6.2.4 upgrade.
Works long enough to browse shares and then goes offline.
Power button becomes unresponsive, doesn't respond to RAIDar and drops off network.
Removing power cord results in above recurring - no longer have access to files, although when checked with RAIDar there are no hard drive or other errors detected.
Tried from both Windows 7 and 8.1 machines, both with same result.
Did consider whether this could be a problem with the Antivirus App installed so tried removing it.
Shut down and restarted, but after trying to access folders went offline and non-responsive.
Starting to think about downgrading to 6.2.3 to rectify problem.
Noticed that there are other users here with same/similar problems and wondered whether there are any other setup changes worth considering in order to track the glitch down to a particular area - network/firmware/hd interface etc
