General Feedback on 6.2.3/6.2.4

You would download the firmware and upload it as per the instructions in the Release Notes: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26257/~/readynas-os-version-6.2.2 You browse for where the file was downloaded to on your PC and upload it to the NAS.
What firmware were you running before updating to 6.2.4? Can you send me your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig).
Without knowing more details on your problem it is impossible to know whether downgrading to 6.2.2 would help or not.
6.2.4 is stable firmware. The problem you are experiencing is most likely not a problem with the firmware.
