Happy with the overall performance boost, coming from a RN Duo with a much older OS. A bummer I could not just switch disks from the old to the new NAS. Enjoying many aspects of the GUI, but APPALLED at the hoops one must jump through to backup to a USB device. This was a NO-BRAINER with the ReadyNAS Duo. As mentioned in other parts of the forum, apparently a USB backup cannot be created unless a backup to a local folder is created, then the path edited. As if no-one has ever thought of backing up a NAS to a USB device?
Also, backups of my largest share (music files) ALWAYS fail. It appears that most if not all data is copied onto the USB drive (a 2TB WD), but OS 6.2.4 report a failure each time.
So weeks after buying my new RN314, two new disks, installing and configuring the NAS, reformatting all drives, transferring data (which failed multiple times), etcetera, I STILL DO NOT have a backup of my files.
