Hard Drive Question
I have a ReadyNas Duo and I want to purchase a ReadyNas Ultra. Can I take the hard drive from my Duo and put it in the Ultra and keep all of the data on it?
Don't condemn a working hard drive!! As long as the SMARTs are OK, it might go another 5 years. Or crash tomorrow, just like a new one could! The MTBF quoted by most mfrs is rubbish, and in any case is usually mistakenly read as "how long the drive should last" - when it really means "half your drives will have failed by now". ;-)
