Hard Drive Upgrade

Upgraded the factory installed 2TB drives with 6TB WD60EFRX drives.  I installed one at a time and waited for the volume to rebuild each time.  The nas recognizes the drives but the volume is still the same size.  Is it possible to expand the volume while the system is still in a RAID10 configuration without backing up all 4TB of data to another location?

  • Hello dnew24,

RAID 10 is FlexRAID and it is not expandable. You need to back the data first while you still can then factory reset the NAS with the new disks.
