Hardware problems / ReadyNAS NV+

You should be able to copy that data from the recycle bin back to where you want it.
The loss could be related to he disk failure, especially if the disk failure caused the NAS to hang.
On recent firmware, if the disk is good and the volume is redundant then you should be able to move a disk to a different slot while the NAS is off, however this disk is dead.
I would suggest you backup your important data primarily stored on the ReadyNAS as the next step.
You may wish to hook the WD disk up to a PC and test it using WD LifeGuard Diagnostics.
Looks lime you are running old firmware from 2009. What version of RAIDiator do you have installed?
