HCL WD Red Rotational Vibration Safeguard RVS Please confirm

Netgear's Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) states Western Digital Red HDD have Rotational Vibration Safeguard (RVS), but I cannot confirm this on any western digital data sheets.
I have also read Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward (RAFF) comments on other sites but I cannot confirm this on any WD data sheets either.

Where did this information come from?
If it cannot be confirmed then the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) needs to be changed to reflect this.

  • Yes I have read the same. As there is no RVS then netgear HCL should not state RVS as yes but should add a note that simply states something similar to the following.
"Not RVS, but vibration reducing technology that should essentially do the same IF ALL NAS HDD are the same"
Maybe add Recommended by WD..... but NOT RVS, as we are perpetuating the LIE at this forum which is known for being independent and honest.

I think the first wording in the note (reduced vibration) is probably all they need. I agree RVS should not be checked.
