Health Status changed to Degraded NAS
I updated my firmware and the Health status changed to degraded. I also lost one of the two hardrives. My data does show up. I am not sure how to get the status back to Healthy?

What NAS? What firmware was it running, and what is it running now?
Your first step is to make a backup.

Hi; This sysemt won't let me include the Model number in the designated box. I type it in but it doesn't show up. I have a Ready NAS 102 and the firmware is up to date. This change in health status happened after the update.

Could you test the drive in a windows PC (either SATA or using a USB->SATA adapter). Use Seatools for a seagate drive, Lifeguard for a Western Digital drive.
Wait for the backup to finish...

Hi pamkrd,
In addition to StephenB's suggestion, it is possible that the said drive is already having problems and running the manufacturer's diagnostic tool would tell us its current health or status. Just update this thread once your done with all the suggestions given to you.
Kind regards,

Hi;
I am not sure how to run a diagnostic tool from my PC. I will try to do it, but I need a little more direction. I believe it is a Western Digital hard drive that is still showing. Any help is appreciated.
I still need to pull out the hard drive that is not functioning. I'm waiting for my husband to be home and help me with that.
I was going to do a backup of the hard drive , but I don't have anything to run the back up too, with enough size.
Thanks
Pam
