HELP Fan 3 has failed in Readynas X6 600 series
Help.
I have a Readynas 600 AKA readynas X6 and I received the following error message in the log files over and over again " Fan 3 has failed" like 17 times!!! Under health, it said " Fan 3 0 RPM Out of Spec"
Please help, what do I need to do?
Do I need to replace the fan? What is it located? Are there generic compatible fans that can replace the " FAN 3" in the unit.
P.S..
I am assuming this message is correct and its not a bug in the software
Please help.
Thanks

- 2NutzAspirantWhy not take the 3 thumb screws off the back and pull the cover for a visual inspection ?
I believe the #3 fan is the horizontal fan above the power supply, maybe ?
Might look like this:

If its not spinning, that would be a good place to start. - cmajewskAspirantAnyone find one of these fans anywhere? I could really use one.
