Help ReadyNas Duo v1 - Unable to connect after power down

- Just to follow up this thread. I tried a few free recovery options but they didn't work and although recovered data, due to the file storage or RAID, the movie and music files were segmented. In the end I had success with R Studio, a recommendation from Botts Thoughts. It's not a free service but it was user friendly and fast. Thanks again.
Thanks for quick response, im sure I set up to remove any kind of raid (it wasa while ago now). Would booting with 1 disk still be worth trying if that wasthe case? I thought the duo was out of netgear support now? Will try anyway though. If i could retreive data, would a subsequent factory reset fix the (unknown) issue and restore functionality, or does it sound like a hardware issue?

If you had removed raid, you would have a C and a D volume. Do you recall if that is the case?
In any event, if you aren't using xraid then linux reader will not work. You could boot with only one disk, but you might have some trouble later on mounting the volume in disk 1.

It is end-of-life, but I believe they will still provide paid per-incident support and data recovery.

I suspect a corrupted disk, though I don't know the cause. So I suspect a factory reset would likely resolve it.
