- Just to follow up this thread. I tried a few free recovery options but they didn't work and although recovered data, due to the file storage or RAID, the movie and music files were segmented. In the end I had success with R Studio, a recommendation from Botts Thoughts. It's not a free service but it was user friendly and fast. Thanks again.
Hi Stephen, I finally tried connecting the drives to my windows pc using Linux reader. Disk 1 showed a number of partitions but no data :(. Disk 2 could not be read at all. I guess that's the end of the road?
