Home Backups Offsite?

I’m new to backups, and I’m looking to create an offsite backup solution for my home family photos, movies, photos, documents, etc. My first thought was to purchase a NAS device and install it at a family member’s home. Would this be a wise way to set this up, and does ReadyNAS offer the tools to make the setup easy? If so, what steps would be involved to set this up (just to make sure it's not over my head before I make the purchase)? I’m looking at the ReadyNAS 102 or 104 unless a different model would make more sense.

I'm still searching for a solution to this. It looks like ReadyCloud might offer this functionality, but I can't seem to confirm whether or not I can automate it.

It looks like it will for sure work if I purchase 2 NAS devices, but I'd rather not have to if possible.
